The Cookery

The Cookery is hosted by the Secret Jozi Chef in Hyde Park, Craighall. Nestled underneath one of my favorite restaurants, Pronto, in the Colony Shopping Centre, is one of the most exciting and fun cooking courses that I have ever experienced!

The food is cooked in teams of 3 or 4 people and at the end, you sit around the table with your fellow food lovers, and share the meal that you have all worked hard to prepare.

This is a great idea for a possible team building exercise with work colleagues, a girls or boys night out, or even a family affair, and the best part is that you won't blow your entire salary on a fun night out (unless R350.00 /R450.00 constitutes half of your salary).

Even if you are not the best cook ever, the recipes are simple, and assistance is provided by the amazing team of chefs supervising the cook. The following images were the standout meals in my experience there;

The Sautéed Beans above were everything you ever need in a vegetable. Tasty, Salty, Crunchy. These were so easy to make and packed with nutritional value!

I would love to take credit for this incredible Chocolate Nemesis Cake, but it was made by the one and only Secret Jozi Chef, as a treat for all of his students, and a treat it was! Made with only 3 ingredient, who said that baking was hard?!

It is also very important to say that a selection of red and white wines are included with the meal. Keen now?
