Asian Inspired Cuisine, armed with fire sushi and cocktails

I had the privilege of Yamitsuki inviting me to a fine dining experience, and let me tell you, I am still craving their incredible Asian inspired dishes! The décor is colourful and vibrant and I swear it makes the food taste even better!

Plus you get complimentary dumplings, which is always a win!

Fire Sushi:

As indicative from the image above... WOW.

Their sushi is fresh and the alcohol used to create the flames does not affect the taste at all. It leaves the sushi light and crispy! Their sushi takes time to prepare, which is always great as it shows that the food is being prepared fresh and not precooked.

The Venue:

Yamitsuki can be found in the trendy heart of Bedfordview. The restaurant was fully booked and there was a great vibe with the restaurant being used as a birthday venue, and for a relaxed dinner with family and friends.

They have 3 sections in the restaurant, the sushi bar, the teppanyaki section, and an outside area. We sat in the teppanyaki section, and it was an incredible experience. You can feel the heat of the flames and watch your food being prepared right in front of your eyes.

The Prices:

This is not your run of the mill Chinese takeout, so you will definitely be paying more to dine here, but in my opinion, this restaurant's pricing is on par with any of the other "trendier" restaurants throughout Joburg.

If you are not in the mood for their wide variety of sushi, you can also order several others meals including burgers, sweet and sours and even lobster dishes!
